UofL Health - Brown Cancer Center
The UofL Health - Brown Cancer Center is all about the power of advanced research and innovation. We provide and develop the most effective approaches to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Multidisciplinary teams of sub-subspecialists are dedicated to each cancer site including lung, breast, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, genitourinary, head and neck, brain and spine, melanoma, and blood and bone marrow. Brown Cancer Center is nationally recognized for the development of experimental cancer therapeutics and diagnostics. The center is a global leader in the clinical trial testing of immunotherapies and is an early adopter of these treatments.
UofL Health – Jewish Hospital
Located in downtown Louisville, internationally-renowned Jewish Hospital is a 462-bed hospital known for its numerous medical firsts in Kentucky, in the nation and throughout the world. The first four hand transplants and the world’s first and second successful AbioCor™ Implantable Replacement Heart Transplant were performed at Jewish Hospital, which is also federally designated to perform all five solid organ transplants.
UofL Health – Mary & Elizabeth Hospital
Founded by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in 1874, Mary & Elizabeth Hospital is a 298-bed primary care hospital offering advanced treatment in orthopedics, cardiology, medical imaging, surgical and emergency services. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital is also home to one of the region’s most successful Weight Loss Surgery programs that features the Lap-Band® system. The program is also unique in that it is one of the first in the U.S. to offer bilingual support services for weight loss patients.
Our four medical centers, UofL Health – Medical Centers East, Northeast, Southend and Southwest, are each uniquely focused on providing patients an outpatient care experience defined by the patient. UofL Health – Peace Hospital
A private, not-for-profit behavioral health care hospital, Peace Hospital has 261 beds and is one of the largest psychiatric facilities in the nation providing care for children, adolescents and adults.

Rudd Heart & Lung Center is one of the leading centers in the region for comprehensive cardiovascular care. UofL Health – Shelbyville Hospital
Located on the Colonel Harland D. Sanders Medical Campus in Shelbyville, Ky. for more than 110 years, this 42-bed community hospital is a vital resource to the residents of Shelby, Henry and Spencer counties.
UofL Health – UofL Hospital
UofL Hospital is a 404-bed hospital that has the only Level 1 Trauma Center and adult burn unit in the region. It was the first in Kentucky to be named a Joint Commission-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. An academic hospital, the facility is at the heart of the Louisville metro area and at the center of the latest developments in patient care.
South Hospital, part of UofL Health, is UofL Health’s newest community hospital and the first inpatient hospital in fast-growing Bullitt County. The 170,000 square feet 40-bed hospital provides area residents a full range of services including 24/7 emergency care, a 10-bed intensive care unit, 30 mixed acuity patient rooms, a cardiac catheterization lab, vascular lab, general and specialized surgical and endoscopy procedures, diagnostic and medical imaging including cardiopulmonary testing, orthopedics, gastroenterology, sleep medicine, vascular surgery and state-of-the-art pharmacy, laboratory and sterile processing services. On-campus services also include a variety of primary care and specialty physicians/providers, Frazier Rehab Center for physical, occupational and speech therapy and Café South for dining.
