We are hiring at Frazier Rehabilitation Institute
Location: 220 Abraham Flexner Way, Louisville, KY 40202
Shift: Full-Time, M-F, 2:30p-10:30p (No Weekends)

Frazier Rehab Institute services include nationally recognized brain injury, spinal cord, and stroke recovery rehab programs accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Rehab Facilities (CARF), with research being conducted with the University of Louisville. Frazier Rehab Institute continues to be a national leader for rehabilitation services, such as the EMERGE program, which is designed to help patients with severe traumatic brain injuries and who are at low levels of consciousness, and locomotor training for post spinal cord injury patients, which allows for weight support standing and walking.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

 

Performs clerical duties on the unit under the direction of the Licensed Nursing Personnel. Utilizes professional communication skills between personnel within the department, and to other departments in relation to patient care. Presents a personable and professional attitude to physicians, patients, families, visitors, and co-workers at all times.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization
  • Interacts effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, visitors, and other customers utilizing effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Maintains the patient record by properly stickering, identifying, and filing all patient documents
  • Forwards all medical records to the HIM department upon discharge
  • Ensures station census is accurate and all patients are correct in computer systems
  • Maintains clean and organized workstations
  • Reports hazards and unsafe practices to leadership or other appropriate individuals
  • Orders, stocks, and maintains clerical supplies and patient care documents
  • Writes legibly and transcribes communication accuratelyMaintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct
  • Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent (required)

Experience:

  • Previous clerical/computer experience and medical terminology strongly preferred. Experience with software systems. Experience in charging supplies (required)

Certification:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
