The Ultrasound Technologist performs examinations according to established protocols set forth by the medical director. The Ultrasound Technologist demonstrates an understanding of human cross sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. The Ultrasound Technologist maintains a high degree of accuracy in positioning and imaging technique. The Ultrasound Technologist complies with guidelines set forth by accrediting bodies. The Ultrasound Technologist supports the mission of the hospital and department by excellent customer relations skills.
Education & Training: Graduate of an approved Ultrasound program.
Experience: Prefer one year of experience in general ultrasound procedures.
License & Certification: ARDMS registered required within one year. BLS required.
