Shift Options: Part Time, 3p-3a

 

About Us

 

UofL Health – Medical Center Southwest opened in 2007 to provide outpatient and emergency care services to the medically underserved area of southwest Jefferson County. The medical center offers patients in the Valley Station, Prairie Village, and Waverly Hills communities an array of critical health services including 24/7 emergency care, diagnostic and medical imaging, laboratory services and UofL Health – Frazier Rehabilitation Institute outpatient rehab services.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

 


As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to the specific orders of each patient’s individual physician. This will involve, utilizing your knowledge and skills to educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits.
Additional responsibilities for this health care role include:
Monitoring patients’ conditions and assessing their needs
Collaborating with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
Administering patients’ medications and providing treatments according to physicians’ orders
Fostering a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families

 

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Active Kentucky registered nurse license or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky
  • Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year of nursing experience in specialty area
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA), required if experienced ED RN, or will obtain during orientation from hospital education
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), required if experienced ED RN, or will obtain during orientation from hospital education
