Shift:  M-F 1st Shift 

 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism and excellent communication skills to foster and contribute to a collegial environment, with the primary focus of providing outstanding care to our patients and their families. responsible for all clinical duties that include but are not limited to; prepping clinic, triaging patients, patient education, requesting confidential medical records.  Overall, the ideal candidate should enhance the way healthcare provider’s interaction with patients and their families as well as each other. 

Responsibilities

  • The Certified Athletic Trainer functions in three main roles:

    • As a traditional athletic trainer, the employee is responsible for providing comprehensive athletic health services under the advice and consent of a licensed team physician and may be asked to function in this role at an educational institution, professional team, and/or at athletic events in our community.
    • As an athletic trainer in an outpatient rehabilitation setting, the employee works in conjunction with the physical therapist to assist with patient care and the daily operations of a physical therapy clinic.
    • As an athletic trainer in a physicians’ office, the employee facilitates effective clinical operations for advanced practice providers and/or physicians. 

Qualifications

  • Education (OPTIONS):

    • Bachelor’s degree in athletic training (providing board of certification)
    • Masters’ degree in a related field (preferred)
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field and Masters’ degree in athletic training from an accredited college/university (providing board of certification)

    Experience:

    • Required experience varies based on practice setting and programmatic needs of the facility

    Licensure:

    • Licensed or eligible in the Commonwealth of Kentucky or State of Indiana, as appropriate to the facility (required)

    Certification:

    • Nationally certified by the Board of Certification (BOC) (Required)
    • Basic Life Saving (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
