• Facilitate an exceptional patient care experience by ensuring and assisting patient flow within the office, attending to needs of patients, their families and medical staff
• Prepare patient for physician visit:
  • Obtain and document appropriate vital signs and health history information in Electronic Health Record (Allscripts).
  • Assist patients with any paperwork necessary for the visit.
• Clinical duties:
  • Check vital signs
  • BP Monitor
  • Medication administration.
  • Assist with follow up calls to families regarding visits/procedures.
  • Documentation, recordkeeping, and reporting.
• Patient triage:
  • Telephone and walk-in triage,
  • Patient documentation and follow up.
• Assist with preparing clinical schedule.
• Provide excellent, clear documentation in every area of the office. All documentation is done in the Electronic Health Record, either by entry or by scanning documents.
• Work closely with physicians to ensure patient and family needs are met in an expeditious manner.
• Assist in other areas of office as required.

• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Current RN license in the State of Kentucky
• Minimum of 4 years clinical experience
• Minimum 1 year in medical office experience
• Must be ACLS Certified

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• CPR certification
• Working experience with Microsoft Word, Excel preferred
• Electronic health record experience preferred
• Self-directed and motivated with the ability to multitask
• Strong organizational and communication skills required

WORKING CONDITIONS

• A good portion of each day will be spent walking and standing. This is a very mobile position.  There can be some bending and reaching when working directly with the patients. 
• Strength is needed to hold patients during procedures and to carry/manipulate tablet during patient visits.
• Must be able to get up and down out of a chair without difficulty. During telephone triage, there will be movement between telephone, computer, medical records and physician work area.
• Exposure to blood borne pathogens and respiratory conditions is possible in this position.
