Responsibilities

The CT Tech Assistant assists the technologists and physicians with duties associated with image acquisition, patient care, and clerical duties.   The Radiology Tech Assistant supports the goals of the department and hospital through excellent customer relations skills.

 

Essentials:                       

  • Able to utilize Cerner/ PACS in order to provide the best patient care.
  • Retrieves images and reports as requested by ULH customers in a timely manner.           
  • Answers phones using appropriate customer relations skills and routes calls to appropriate locations as needed.
  • Processes requisitions in an accurate and timely manner.                
  • Ensures work area is kept clean, neat orderly, and stocked with supplies.
  • Maintains an ethical and professional relationship with ULH customers.
  • Assists technologist in any manner that expedites patient examination to include transporting, lifting/moving patients, and completing exams.
  • Ensures linen hampers are emptied at the end of the respective shift. 
  • Attends and participates in department staff meetings.
  • Assists in orienting new employees.                     
  • Takes an active role in gaining or maintaining proficiency in hospital and radiology equipment and information systems needed in the performance of job responsibilities.
  • Presents a positive image of the hospital and department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
