About the Unit

9 Frazier is a 26-bed complex surgical orthopedic & hand care unit. Our interdisciplinary team cares for patients with spine surgeries, hip & knee replacements.

 

About Jewish Hospital

Jewish Hospital, part of UofL Health, is an internationally renowned, high-tech tertiary referral center, developing leading-edge advancements in hand and microsurgery, heart and lung care, orthopedics and sports medicine, neuroscience, organ transplantation and outpatient care. The hospital is the site of the world’s first successful hand transplant and AbioCor® implantable replacement heart procedures, in addition to the first trial of adult cardiac stem cells in chronic heart failure. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) are instrumental in establishing an efficient work flow and promoting an environment in which our patients are cared for in a professional, timely and courteous manner. LPN’s provide clinical support to providers in order to ‘deliver patient-centered care with compassion and excellence’. The ideal candidate will demonstrate both technical excellence and emotional intelligence.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Associate degree or completion of nursing program over 18 months and up to 3 yrs. in duration, required
  • Current Kentucky Nursing License, required
  • 1 year of LPN medical office experience, preferred
  • Certification:

    Basic Life Saving (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
