Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The RN Clinician is a licensed professional who provides evidence-based care to adult and geriatric patients during all phases of their care.  The RN Clinician works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide patient-centered care utilizing knowledge of disease states, and critical thinking skills.  Responsibilities for providing and coordinating patient care include but are not limited to; provide direction for provider-patient consultation, ensure labs, imaging, and appropriate tests are completed and reviewed in a timely manner, provide education and support for patients and families, clinic preparation and starting provider notes in advance, triage, requesting medical records as needed. The RN Clinician provides follow-up to patients to ensure continuity of care using evidence-based nursing practices to achieve safe, quality care. The RN Clinician is expected to maintain nursing competence, professionalism, and clinical judgment.  The RN Clinician is expected to participate in continuous learning and staying abreast of the latest evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Graduate from an accredited/approved school of nursing.
  • BSN or must enroll within 1 year of hire, degree required within 3 years of hire.
  • 1 year as a practicing RN

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Outpatient clinic RN experience
