We are Hiring at UofL Hospital’s 9 South Neuro/Trauma Progressive Care unit

Location: 530 South Jackson Street, Louisville, KY 40202

Shift Options: Full-time, Weekends only, 7p-7a

 

About the Unit

9 South is a 25-bed neuro/trauma Progressive care unit.  This unit cares for patients who are downgraded from intensive care along with receiving patients from the Emergency Room.  This unit is comprised of private and semi-private patient rooms.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Active Kentucky registered nurse license or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky
  • Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • All new graduate RNs will participate in the nurse residency program and successfully complete all activities as required.
  • All new-hire Associate degree registered nurses (new graduate and experienced) are required to start an approved BSN program within one (1) year of hire and complete an approved BSN program within three (3) years of hire.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of patient care experience in specialty area

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
  • Two (2) or more years of patient care experience in specialty area
