Shift: Day shift - Monday-Friday

Job Summary

The Human Resource Manager assists in hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This position will take a consultative approach to engaging with managers on business and people issues and provide HR project leadership in the development of policy revisions and/or other employee related programs. This position will lead projects and track project goals and tasks, report on progress, make recommendations, and help with implementation. This position will also ensure consistent and equitable application of organizational policies and procedures across a functional area or location. This position will also lead and execute talent initiatives and act as a change agent to enable the growth and development of our people.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary and highly visible business partner to plan, direct, and administer various Human Resources programs.
• Provide day – to – day Human Resources support to all employees and ensures consistent application of policies and procedures.
• Collaboration with all internal Human Resources departments.
o Payroll and Benefits
o HRIS
o Organizational Development
o Talent Acquisition
• Manage the Annual Performance Evaluation process, goal setting, review, development planning and compensation process.

• Design, implement, and facilitate:
o new manager assimilation
o coaching sessions
o team building and interventions to increase manager and team effectiveness.
• Coach and /or mentor less experienced staff.
• Rounding in partnership with senior leadership monthly.
• Rounding with select leaders and departments weekly.
• Monthly rounding on alternate shifts; adjust schedules accordingly.
• Meet one on one with any new managers/leaders:
o Welcome / Introductions
o HR support
o Intranet
o Policy Tech
o SMART Goals and Performance Management
• Partner with Organizational Development department to drive/support/champion initiatives with the operations team.
o Champion and drive change management
o Champion and drive Leadership Development
o New Leader Onboarding
o Press Ganey – Employee Engagement and Safety Survey
 Partner with operations and other stakeholders on delivery of results, action plans, etc.
• Guides managers and employees through the various employment processes such as:
o Corrective action
o Documentation
o Recruitment
o Retention
o Succession Planning
o Ensure consistency and fairness.
o Resolve complex employee policy issues.
o Conduction and overseeing investigations and making appropriate recommendations.
• Participates in job description updates and continued compliance.
• When visiting other facilities, alert the site HR team for awareness and space needs.
• Understand business goals:
o Make recommendations on thoughtful new approaches.
o Make recommendations on policies and procedures to affect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development of the HR team.
• Provides advice and counsel to department directors, managers, and staff on updating and interpreting programs.
• Partners with Talent Acquisition to understand the scope of open positions, areas of need, and any issues they are aware of.
o Participate/attend hiring events
o Interview panels as necessary
• Ownership for establishing a monthly scheduled meeting with all your senior and c-suite leaders.
o Bring suggestions for improvement, next steps, updates and provide timelines.
o Each meeting provide status on managing/coaching leaders on the goals.
o Bring in additional stakeholders as needed.
• Administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
• Researches, analyzes data, and prepares quarterly reports on HR trends, new HR project suggestions and current program goals and progress.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
• Review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:
• High School Diploma, or equivalent (required)
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

 

Experience:
• 5+ years of HR experience (required)

 

Certification:
• SHRM-CP or PHR (preferred)
