Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

Medical assisting duties include patient triage, vital signs, patient history, EKG, injections, and using the electronic health record.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • Medical Assisting certification from a nationally recognized organization (CMA, CCMA, or RMA); if not certified upon hire then certification must be obtained in the first 90 days of employment. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Minimum one year of working in a medical facility as a medical assistant and or documented evidence of externship completed in a medical office.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical Assisting Degree
