University Medical Center, Inc. d/b/a UofL Health - UofL Hospital hereby gives notice to all employees of the filing of an Application for Permanent Alien Labor Certification pursuant to 20 C.F.R. Section 656.10, for the following:

 

Job Title:
Medical Technologist -Lead Rate of Pay:
$65,332.80 - $101,275.20 per year. The employer will pay, or exceed the prevailing wage, as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Medical Technology, Microbiology, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist, or related occupation. In the alternative, a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Medical Technology, Microbiology, or a relate field. Certification, as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist, by an accredited agency.


Job Description:
Submit feedback to the Laboratory Supervisor for evaluations conducted; recommend and implement improvements necessary to achieve operational goals and to improve patient outcomes; monitor quality control and proficiency testing for department; ensure that accreditation standards are met for department in accordance with CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, AABB, FDA, OSHA; evaluate new technologies for the section in conjunction with the Medical Director of the department; assist in the orientation of new department employees; and meet regularly with Laboratory Supervisor and section Medical Director and seek involvement regarding capital purchases, operational, and technical issues.
