JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for insurance/payer portal website system enrollment and maintenance for all ULP revenue cycle partners and all patient business services positions. Insurance web sites include (but not limited to): Availity, Navinet, Wellcare, Caresource, Medicare, Medicaid, Indiana, Magellan, MHNET, ARP, UMPC Health, Bluegrass Family Health, and Aldera. Coordinates with ULP payer enrollment to load appropriate group National Provider Identifiers (NPIs) to user profiles to support their scope of operation.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains insurance web site access that include (but not limited to) Availity, Navinet, Wellcare, Caresource, Medicare, Medicaid, Indiana, Magellan, MHNET, ARP, UMPC Health, Bluegrass Family Health, and Aldera
• Establishes web system specifications by analyzing access, information, and security requirements for Cerner, Allscripts, Centricity, Patient Keeper, Sharepoint, ULP Citrix, ULH Citrix, Jewish Citrix, Epic Citrix, Cremer, Aria, Epic Baptist, Meditech, Cerner Millennium, PAC, STAR.
• Develop a mechanism for system access requirements for all applicable users that is shared with ULP leadership for onboarding and internal transfer purposes.
• Maintain contact with payer portal vendors to keep up to date on current portal features and functionality. Share updates with all applicable users.
• Supports organizational goals to provide effective and efficient electronic communications with payers and/or hospital systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing web applications and sites.
• Maintain active database of all active users and enrollments with various systems.
• Responsible for prompt follow through on system terminations based on system access needs by applicable users.
• Perform periodic audits of active user directory.
• May assist IT department in requesting user access to various hospital systems.
• Continuous improvement and professional development through tracking emerging industry trends and educational opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of administrative office experience, preferred.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts and execute knowledge gained through work efforts.
• Strong ability to interact, and communicate with people.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to apply knowledge.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet goals.


WORKING CONDITIONS
• Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
