Peace Hospital, part of UofL Health, is a private, non-profit behavioral health hospital. One of the largest behavioral health facilities in the nation, Peace Hospital is known for providing care for children, adolescents, adults and senior adults, age 55 and older.

It’s Kosair Charities Children’s Peace Center is the largest and most comprehensive private provider of youth inpatient behavioral health services in the country. The hospital was the nation’s first behavioral health care center to open a retail pharmacist operated, long-acting injection clinic. The clinic was established to help people adhere to prescribed medications for behavioral health conditions, such as substance use and psychotic disorders.

Job Summary

This position is responsible and accountable for total units operations on a 24-hour basis to include fiscal management, staff development, and resource management with the ultimate goal of achieving quality and safe patient care

  • Ages 3-99
  • Patients requiring hospitalization for mental health emergencies

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of a state approved school of nursing. BSN required (equivalent specialty experience will be considered in lieu of the educational and experience requirements based on executive leadership approval.
  • Three years of RN experience, including 2 years of management.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kentucky Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date.
  • BLS required from American Heart Association.
  • Ability to complete Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training and successful completion during new hire orientation.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
