The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs examinations according to established protocols set forth by the medical director and section chief. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist demonstrates an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. The Nuclear Medicine Technologists maintains a high degree of accuracy in and awareness of radiation safety principles and quality control measures on equipment and procedures. The Nuclear Medicine Technologists prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals and other medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Education & Training: Graduate of JRC approved program in Nuclear Medicine technology.
Experience: Prefer one year of recent experience as a NMT and one year of recent experience in PET or PET/CT.
License & Certification: NMTCB registered or ARRT registered with NMT certification, as well as, hold a state operators license for PET/CT. BLS issued by AHA required.
