Responsibilities

The Radiology Nurse provides safe and effective nursing care in the Diagnostic Imaging Department as needed. The Radiology Nurse supports the mission of the hospital by assisting in the delivery of quality patient care while in the Diagnostic Imaging Department.

Qualifications

Education & Training:  BSN preferred. A minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program is preferred. All new-hire Associate Degree Registered Nurses (new graduate and experienced) are required to start an approved BSN program within one year of hire and complete an approved BSN program within three years of hire.

 

Experience:  Two years critical care experience OR One year at a Level 1 Trauma Center required.

 

Certification & Licenses:  KY RN license required. Current AHA certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
