Responsibilities

Job Summary

The physical therapist is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients. In this role you will perform patient evaluation, development and implementation of an appropriate treatment plan, delivery of treatment services, and comprehensive discharge planning. 

 

Burn/Wound PT Position in a Verified Burn Center Environment

  • Provide physical therapy services to patients with acute to subacute burns/wounds
  • Emphasis on mobility, positioning, contracture prevention
  • Opportunity to participate in dressing changes and wound care management
  • Multi-disciplinary approach with MDs, RNs, OT, speech therapy, Case management

Qualifications

Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):

• BS/MS/DPT degree in physical therapy required.
• DPT degree preferred.
• Valid PT License Kentucky State Board of Physical Therapy

 

Certification

• CPR, BLS through the American Heart Association.

 

Experience (required and preferred):

• Experience in physical therapy preferred for outpatient positions.
• Acute care physical therapy experience required for acute care positions.
