Shift: Full time, 1p-1a

UofL Health – Medical Center Southwest opened in 2007 to provide outpatient and emergency care services to the medically underserved area of southwest Jefferson County. The medical center offers patients in the Valley Station, Prairie Village, and Waverly Hills communities an array of critical health services including 24/7 emergency care, diagnostic and medical imaging, laboratory services and UofL Health – Frazier Rehabilitation Institute outpatient rehab services.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the health care organization.

 

The area of focus:

  • Emergency Department

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • RN License or eligible for license in Kentucky
  • Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or will obtain during orientation if your current job did not require it.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or will obtain during orientation
  • Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in specialty area
