Responsibilities

 

                          Answer multi-line phone system and schedule all appointment types for the New Albany, Kleinert Kutz East and Downtown Louisville Offices

  • Scheduling the appointments entails collecting required demographics, insurance type and problem the patient is having
  • Ensure the appointment is scheduled with appropriate doctor
  • Look up previous account numbers in old software system for medical record purposes.
  • Collect and document any WC or Liability claim information when appt is being made on appropriate form. This sheet then goes to the Billing Coordinator to contact adjustors or Insurance carriers for verification.
  • Transfer any patient with balances in collections to the billing department
  • Transfer or route all calls to any other appropriate department
  • Answer all voicemails in a timely manner.
  • Make calls to all New Patient and ER follow up appts for New Albany, Louisville and East locations.
  • Reconcile ER sheets with accounts Practice Management system               
  • Call and reschedule any appointments needed off the “bump” lis
  • Forward phones to answering service at the end of the day

Qualifications

Education:

 

High School Diploma or GED/ equivalent (required)

 

Experience:

 

Medical office experience (preferred)
