Location: Lexington KY

 

Shift: 1:00pm - 9:30pm, Fulltime

Peace Hospital, part of UofL Health, is a private, non-profit behavioral health hospital. One of the largest behavioral health facilities in the nation, Peace Hospital is known for providing care for children, adolescents, adults and senior adults, age 55 and older.

It’s Kosair Charities Children’s Peace Center is the largest and most comprehensive private provider of youth inpatient behavioral health services in the country. The hospital was the nation’s first behavioral health care center to open a retail pharmacist operated, long-acting injection clinic. The clinic was established to help people adhere to prescribed medications for behavioral health conditions, such as substance use and psychotic disorders.

Job Summary

The Assessment Clinician evaluates individuals seeking behavioral health/substance use treatment, seeks justification for admission, and coordinates level of care expectations with physicians, Assessment Referral Center, personnel, patient care units, and external agencies. The Assessment Clinician conducts insurance pre-certifications for individuals evaluated and may provide assessment services for various patient populations including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling/Clinical Psychology, or other related fields
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • BLS required from American Heart Association
  • Ability to complete Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training and successful completion during new hire orientation

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience in mental health field and previous experience in crisis intervention or an assessment/diagnostic setting
