We are Hiring at Jewish Hospital, Thoracic/Vascular PCU 6 Towers

Location: 200 Abraham Flexner Way, Louisville, KY 40202

Shift Options: Full-Time, 40 hours/week, Varied (This role will work 2 x 12-hour shifts as a charge RN & 2 x 8-hour shifts completing office hours.)

 

About the Unit 

6 Towers is a 22-bed vascular thoracic unit caring for post-op thoracic, vascular, and cardiac procedure surgical patients.

Job Summary

The RN Shift Coordinator will provide support and will work collaboratively with the Clinical Manager and the Director. The Shift Coordinator will hold staff accountable on his/her shift and provide feedback to Clinical Manager. The Shift Coordinator is an extension of the Clinical Manager and is empowered to address issues and concerns on his/her respective shift. This staff member will work 1/3rd of her/his shifts in staffing. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Licensed or eligible for license in Kentucky

Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Previous charge nurse or leadership experience

Minimum 3 years RN experience

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for some units

National certification in specialty or nursing administration

Thoracic/Vascular PCU experience
