Shift: 8a-8p, Fulltime, Weekend Only

Peace Hospital, part of UofL Health, is a private, non-profit behavioral health hospital. One of the largest behavioral health facilities in the nation, Peace Hospital is known for providing care for children, adolescents, adults and senior adults, age 55 and older.

It’s Kosair Charities Children’s Peace Center is the largest and most comprehensive private provider of youth inpatient behavioral health services in the country. The hospital was the nation’s first behavioral health care center to open a retail pharmacist operated, long-acting injection clinic. The clinic was established to help people adhere to prescribed medications for behavioral health conditions, such as substance use and psychotic disorders.

Job Summary

The Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and implementing structured therapeutic program activities for individuals and groups of patients.

 

The area of focus

  • Ages 13-18
  • Patients requiring hospitalization for mental health emergencies

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology, psychology, or other closely related health degree
    • In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 5 years clinical experience specifically in mental health
  • Ability to complete Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training and successful completion during new hire orientation.
  • BLS required from American Heart Association
