Job Summary
This position provides specialized repair (radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, etc.) and maintenance services to diagnostic imaging equipment and biomedical equipment.
1. Performs repair and maintenance primarily on general imaging equipment, such as X-Ray units, Portable X-ray units, Fluoroscopy Systems, CR units, and Mammography units, Ultrasound systems, etc.
2. Completes all necessary record keeping for work orders received and finished.
3. Assists in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for the most cost-effective maintenance of medical imaging equipment.
4. Provides on-call coverage on a rotating basis and other duties as assigned.
5. Participation in the identification of value added enhancements.
6. Promotes the safe effective use of clinical equipment.
7. Maintains effective professional customer relations and communication.
8. Provides input to the Director regarding new service opportunities and performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Training: Associate Degree in a related field preferred.
Experience: Two years of related experience servicing medical imaging equipment.
Must keep up-to-date on technological and medical advances. Must have current understanding of Joint Commission, 21 CFR and NFPA regulations. Must have the ability to repair and maintain a wide variety of medical Imaging equipment.
License & Certification: BMET or CRES certification preferred.
