Responsibilities

Provides secretarial support by performing a variety of office procedures (filing, record-keeping, inventory, answering phone, etc.). Promotes positive relations with other departments, physicians, and the public through accurate and timely communication (verbal and written) in a professional and confidential manner. Under broad direction, this position performs administrative/financial functions for the department and diversified office duties for Medical Imaging.

· Screens and refers all incoming calls and department visitors to ensure that accurate and timely departmental communication is facilitated and that the department is presented in a positive manner

· Proactively oversees schedules and maintains schedules for appropriate areas

· Distributes mail to appropriate individual

· Maintains departmental records and establishes departmental filing system to ensure the expeditious retrieval of information

Qualifications

Education:
• High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent (required)
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field (preferred)


Experience:
• Six months secretarial/clerical experience (preferred)
• Health care experience (preferred)


Certification:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
