About the Unit

8 South is a 15-bed neuro/trauma Progressive care unit.  This unit cares for patients who are downgraded from intensive care along with receiving patients from the Emergency Room.  This unit is comprised of private rooms.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Required Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for license in Kentucky
• Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for some units
• Associates’s degree from accredited college or University

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited college or University
