Full/Part Time:                 Part-time (~20hour/week)

Exempt/Nonexempt:    Non-exempt

 

JOB SUMMARY

Assist HTC administrator, coordinator, and staff to provide comprehensive support for client services. 

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with insurance coverage needs.
  • Help organize and facilitate prior authorizations and needed insurance information.
  • Provide assistance with reimbursement for under or un-insured individuals.
  • Support the HTC social worker by enrolling patients in the Commission program and services.
  • Acknowledge and follow up on patient care needs.
  • Assist with patient chart and documentation management.
  • Provides excellent customer service; listen and communicate with care and concern.
  • Treats everyone with courtesy, respect, and discretion.
  • Maintains high level of confidentiality while interacting with the HTC team.
  • Establish and maintain strong professional boundaries.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • Minimum 3 years experience in health care, preferred

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Knowledgeable in medical procedures and medical terminology
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Analytical abilities required identifying and resolving inquiries relating to his or her insurance needs.
  • Must be flexible and able to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Well organized and have good problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize and schedule job duties.
  • Must be able to match medical terms to the correct codes.
  • Must understand insurance carrier payment and billing regulations.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Office environment – office, sitting, computer, walking, lifting, etc.
