Our Kosair for Kids Children’s Peace Center is the largest and most comprehensive private provider of youth inpatient behavioral health services in the country treating children and adolescents with behavioral health and co-occurring disorders. We have a partial hospitalization program for school-aged children and an inpatient specialty program for children and adolescents who have complex treatment needs, such as intellectual or developmental disabilities accompanied by acute behavioral and psychiatric symptoms. Job Summary
The Assessment Clinician evaluates individuals seeking behavioral health/substance use treatment, seeks justification for admission, and coordinates level of care expectations with physicians, Assessment Referral Center, personnel, patient care units, and external agencies. The Assessment Clinician conducts insurance pre-certifications for individuals evaluated and may provide assessment services for various patient populations including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

Required Qualifications
· Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling/Clinical Psychology, or other related fields
· Valid Driver’s License
· BLS required from American Heart Association
· Ability to complete Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training and successful completion during new hire orientation
Preferred Qualifications
· One year of experience in mental health field and previous experience in crisis intervention or an assessment/diagnostic setting
