Requirements:
• Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related scientific field. Certification, as a Medical Technologist, or Medical Laboratory Scientist, by an accredited agency.
Job Description:
Routine patient testing, complex antibody identification, and high complexity DNA analysis; record & review test results for accuracy, report conclusions to appropriate personnel; perform complex laboratory procedures to evaluate donors & recipients for transplantation & HLA typing of Deceased Donors; participate in competency assessments & proficiency testing; analyze quality control data, make judgements concerning the results, & take appropriate action to maintain test accuracy & precision; assist & support quality management systems & performance improvement initiatives; perform preventive maintenance & basic troubleshooting of instrumentation & equipment; maintain supply inventory; perform new instrument or procedure implementation; act as technical resource for the client services & specimen processing areas; maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, & standards of conduct.
