6 West is a 21-bed medical-surgical acute care unit specializing in post-operative care of patients undergoing general, urological, colorectal and bariatric surgery.

Job Summary

The RN Shift Coordinator will provide support and will work collaboratively with the Clinical Manager and the Director.  The Shift Coordinator will hold staff accountable on his/her shift and provide feedback to Clinical Manager.  The Shift Coordinator is an extension of the Clinical Manager and is empowered to address issues and concerns on his/her respective shift.  This staff member will work 1/3^rd of her/his shifts in staffing. 

Required Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for license in Kentucky
• Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for some units
• Bachelor's degree from accredited college or University
• Previous Charge Nurse or Leadership experience
• Minimum 3 years RN experience

Preferred Qualifications

• National certification in specialty or nursing administration is preferred.
