Overview

This position provides specialized repair (radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, etc.) and maintenance services to diagnostic imaging equipment and biomedical equipment.

Responsibilities

1. In addition to duties of Field Service Specialist I, performs repair and maintenance on intermediate imaging equipment, such as Digital Radiography units, basic CT, CT Sim, basic oncology and vascular/specials systems. more than 60% of the time.
2. Utilizes training opportunities to significantly reduce contract dependency for the same equipment.
3. Utilizes training opportunities to significantly reduce contract dependency for the same equipment.
4. Completes all necessary record keeping for work orders received and finished.
5. Assists in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for the most cost-effective maintenance of medical imaging equipment.
6. Provides on-call coverage on a rotating basis and other duties as assigned.
7. Participation in the identification of value added enhancements.
8. May also provide repair and maintenance of general biomedical equipment as secondary responsibility or as assigned.
9. Maintains effective professional customer relations and communication.
10. Provides input to the Director regarding new service opportunities and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Training: Associate’s Degree in a related field preferred. 

 

Experience: Five years of related experience servicing medical imaging equipment.  Must keep up-to-date on technological and medical advances. Must have current understanding of Joint Commission, 21 CFR and NFPA regulations. Must have the ability to repair and maintain a wide variety of medical Imaging equipment.

 

License & Certification: BMET or CRES certification preferred.
