About the Unit

9 West is a 10-bed surgical trauma intensive care unit. Clinicians on this unit enjoy caring for a variety of injuries as a result of auto accidents, falls, gun shots, etc. Our patients may range in age from 16 (if size of an adult) to 99 years old. The other strength of this unit is the staff's skills in working with families, friends, and loved ones of their patients. 

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Required Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for license in Kentucky
• Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for some units
• Associates’s degree from accredited college or University

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited college or University
