The Learning & Development Program Manager manages internal, inter-departmental and
external partnerships to ensure effective implementation of leadership development and
learning initiatives. They will lead the administration of the Leadership Development & Learning
programs and classes, and all other system-wide learning and development opportunities as
assigned.
· Manages the administration, scheduling and logistics for all learning related to the
Leadership Development & Learning activities and classes, and all other system-wide
learning opportunities as they are assigned
· Collaborates with Clinical Education team/Office of Professional Practice and Patient
Experience team, and University of Louisville Physicians to plan the annual learning
calendar for the UofL Health System.
· Leads instructional design of programs and courses as assigned.
· Facilitates learning that is aligned with subject matter expertise.
· Recruits and trains internal facilitators to support instruction of the program(s) under their
purview.
· Partners with the HR Site Teams to understand the needs of the units where they serve,
and to communicate and implement programs in their facilities.
· Partners with the Knowledge Hub administrator to ensure that all scheduled learning
courses and workshops are effectively set up to allow participants to access and
complete the courses.
· Partners with the Office of Professional Practice to ensure that all applicable learning is
earning KBN CE credits.
· Facilitates and reviews employee registration and participation in the courses.
· In the case of face-to-face facilitation, ensures that technology and other resources are functioning effectively on day of the class/workshop.
· In the case of virtual learning, ensures that access links to courses and materials are available for facilitators and participants.
· Liaises with external partners such as the University of Louisville College of Education and College of Medicine to coordinate facilitation and other learning related activities for UofL Health.
· Evaluates program effectiveness by implementing Kirkpatrick’s Training Evaluation Model.
· Collects and analyzes data using Excel or similar software
· Effectively communicates upcoming programs and schedules using various media, in collaboration with the Marketing Department.
· Facilitates classes that are within the Learning & Development Program Manager’s expertise.
· Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
· Work closely with the Employee Engagement Specialist to develop programs that support
the employee engagement strategy.
· Work closely with HR Business Partners to serve their clients.
· Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct
· Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all
times
· Performs other duties as assigned
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Development, Organizational
Development, Higher Education, Instructional Design, or other related degree (required)
· Master’s degree (preferred)
Experience:
· Minimum of 2-years Human Resources, training and/or onboarding and orientation
experience required.
· Experience in project/program management a plus.
