The clinical laboratory assistant II shall be responsible for the accessioning of all specimens received in the Flow department. Clerical competence and good judgment are required, as errors could result in serious consequences to patients. Work involves confidential patient information. The lab assistant must have good communication skills and interact pleasantly and professionally with all coworkers, medical staff, patients and others. The employee shall actively support the policies of the laboratory and hospital.
Education & Training: High School diploma or GED required. Some college education including science courses preferred.
Experience: Excellent communication and organizational skills. Excellent clerical skills with computer data entry. Extreme attention to detail.
