The Scheduler provides a quality service to the patient, the physician, his/her office/clinic staff, and to all departments. He/She schedules all services offered by that department including obtainment of appropriate medical necessity documentation - diagnosis, sign, symptoms, and notifying outpatient coder for assistance if needed. Performs clerical duties of the unit under the direction of the chief therapist and or director.
Education: High School diploma or GED required
Experience: One year of experience in a hospital or previous healthcare clerical experience preferred. Medical terminology desired.
