    Qualifications

     

    EDUCATION & TRAINING:

     

    BS/MS DEGREE IN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY.  GRADUATED FROM AN ACCREDITED OT SCHOOL.

    POSSESS AND MAINTAIN CURRENT CPR CERTIFICATION

     

    EXPERIENCE/

    RESPONSIBILITES:

     

    • Acute care, rehab care or trauma experience preferred
    •  Inpatient setting with broad range of diagnosis including: Neuro, Orthopedics, Multi-Trauma, Cognitive  Injury, chronic and deconditioning diagnosis.
    • Job responsibilities to provide individualized quality patient care – evaluation, reevaluations and occupational therapy treatment to achieve functional goals.
    • Therapist must demonstrate  responsibility for current knowledge, evidence based and clinical judgment and skills necessary to provide appropriate services for patient care. 
    •  OT student program - mentor students.
    • Supervise COTAs
    • Demonstrates skills to include: organization, interpersonal relations, decision making and problem solving.
    • Candidate must be willing to train for and work in specialty areas according to departmental needs.
    • Must possess computer skills necessary to accomplish job requirements.

     

     

    LICENSE & CERTIFICATION:

     

    KENTUCKY STATE BOARD OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

    AND NATIONAL REGISTRATION.
