The CT Technologists performs CT Scans and radiographic examinations according to established protocols set forth by the medical director. The CT Technologists demonstrates an understanding of human cross sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. The CT Technologists maintains a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique. The CT Technologists maintains knowledge and awareness of radiation protections and safety during all radiographic examinations. The CT Technologists prepares for and assist the radiologist with intricate radiographic examinations including a range of tissue biopsies and fluid drainages. The CT Technologist will prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with hospital policy and procedure as well as state and federal regulations.
Certifications: Registered with ARRT, KY Radiaton Operator's certification, CPR-Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required. CT certification within one year of employment.
Education: Graduate of JRC approved program in Radiologic Technology
Experience: One year of recent experience as a general radiographer preferred
