Performs the manual technical tasks involved with the proper storage, distribution, packaging and labeling of drugs, associated record keeping and patient charging systems. Works under the supervision and directly reports to the Pharmacy Business Manager. Follows proper procedures for the operation of equipment and use of supplies. Maintains and coordinates systems to ensure that pharmacy operations run efficiently on a day-to-day basis.
Education & Training: High School diploma or GED required.
Experience: Minimum of two years pharmacy technician experience preferred.
License and Certification: Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the State Board of Pharmacy Examiners. PTCB National Certification required. PTCB certification not required for second year pharmacy students and/or licensed pharmacy interns.
