The Imaging Supervisor shall have a thorough knowledge and proficiency in the principles and practices of all Imaging for Adolescent (12 - 17 years), Adult (18 - 65 years), Geriatric (66 years and older). The Supervisor shall have a direct responsibility for the development and implementation of all procedures performed in the department as well as responsibility to provide sufficient educational training to provide these services. The Supervisor shall have a thorough understanding of departmental policy and procedures and knowledge of all standards and criteria required by the JCAHO to assure that the practices of the department are in compliance with these standards. The Supervisor shall provide, through the Imaging staff, services of the highest quality in the most cost efficient manner. The Supervisor shall act as liaison between his/her staff and the numerous physician’s groups requiring services provided by the Imaging Department. The Supervisor will present a pleasing, congenial, knowledgeable manner to the physicians, her staff, the hospital staff, patients and visitors. The Supervisor will also assure that the staff presents themselves with the utmost professionalism to all contacts. The Supervisor is responsible for all operating aspects of the unit and maintains a high degree of proficiency in the field.
Education & Training: Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 1 year of experience in the discipline OR 3 years’ experience in the discipline without a Bachelor’s Degree Previous supervisor experience in an Imaging Department preferred.
Experience: Required minimum of 1 year of experience in the discipline with a Bachelor’s Degree OR 3 year’s leadership experience in the discipline without a Bachelor’s Degree. Five years’ experience as a Radiologic Technologist required.
License & Certification: ARRT, KBMIRT, BLS
