Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Certified  IV   We are Hiring at James Brown Cancer Center Location: 529 South Jackson St  Louisville KY 40202 Shift Options: 1st shift  Full Time   About Us UofL Health is a fully integrated regional academic health system with seven hospitals, four medical centers, nearly 200 physician practice locations, more than 700 providers, the Frazier Rehabilitation Institute, and the Brown Cancer Center.   With more than 12,000 team members—physicians, surgeons, nurses, pharmacists, and other highly skilled health care professionals—UofL Health is focused on one mission: delivering patient-centered care to each and every patient each and every day.   Our Mission As an academic health care system, we will transform the health of the communities we serve through compassionate, innovative, patient-centered care.   Job Summary The Certified Pharmacy Technician provides daily supportive services for the Department of Pharmacy according to hospital policies and procedures and in compliance with Kentucky pharmacy laws and other regulatory agencies.   Responsibilities - Responsible for centralized compounding work using safe IV room practices, large volume end-product batching (IVPB, syringes, etc.), compounding total parenteral nutrition (TPN) and peripheral parenteral nutrition (PPN), and end-product quality assurance. - Oversees Pyxis console. - Performs the manual technical tasks involved with the proper storage, distribution, packaging and labeling of drugs, associated record keeping and patient charging systems. - Works under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. - Follows proper procedures for the operation of equipment and use of supplies. - Maintains and coordinates systems to ensure that pharmacy operations run efficiently on a day-to-day basis.   Required Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED - Registered as a pharmacy technician with the Commonwealth of Kentucky - PTCB national certification - Certification not required for 2nd year pharmacy students and or licensed pharmacy interns      Preferred Qualifications - 1 year or more of pharmacy tech experience    Benefits & Perks - Competitive Pay & Benefits Options - Paid Vacation, Sick days, and Holidays - Free tuition to UofL for Part- and Full-time employees for Child/Spouse/Domestic Partner - 401K with Employer Match   #LI-DNI
