JOB SUMMARY The Medical Scheduler is an individual who assists the staff and physician by scheduling patients for appropriate follow up appointments and necessary tests and procedures. (i.e. - interventional invasive cardiology procedures, electrophysiology, etc.) - Discuss patient instructions for procedures with patient so patient has clear understanding of what is expected. - Calls patients to schedule procedures and give instructions over phone with follow-up letter with instructions. - Use Allscripts, Centricity Business, online paging systems.
