Job Summary
The Inpatient Certified Pharmacy Technician provides daily supportive services for the Department of Pharmacy according to hospital policies and procedures and in compliance with Kentucky pharmacy laws and other regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities
- Assists with filling, processing, and dispensing of medications by labeling medication, including bulk supplies, with proper ancillary labeling and bagging procedures, with final check performed by a pharmacist
- Answers phones according to established phone etiquette and triages calls to the proper personnel
- Charges and/or credits patients for medications used via the computer system
- Accurately and efficiently unit doses medications, including cleaning the compounding area, restocking and replacing supplies, documenting in the compounding record, and ensuring doses are correctly labeled and prepared for pharmacist verification
- Prepares medications for loading into the ADC and unloads medications from the ADC utilizing bar code scanning
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Registered as a pharmacy technician with the Commonwealth of Kentucky
- PTCB national certification or NHA

The Radiologic Tech performs all radiographic examinations according to establish protocols set forth by the medical director. The Radiologic Tech maintains a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique. The Radiologic Tech maintains knowledge and awareness of radiation protection and safety during all radiographic examinations. The Radiologic Tech prepares for and assists the radiologist with intricate radiographic examinations. The Radiologic Tech will prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with hospital policy and procedure as well as state and federal regulations.
The Heart and Lung OR Technologist will assist the physician in the interventional radiology procedure. The OR Technologist circulates within the procedure room and procures all equipment needed for procedures, including the operation of the radiation equipment. The OR Technologist maintains a high degree of accuracy and awareness of all radiation and patient safety issues involved with any invasive procedure. The OR Technologist will position patients, select exposure parameters, contrast injectors according to protocols specific to both patient and examination. The OR Technologist demonstrates a thorough understanding and working knowledge of human anatomy and physiology and equipment.

Job Summary
The Clinical Assistant provides clinical patient care support in a caring, safe, and efficient manner, under the supervision and delegation of the Registered Nurse. In collaboration with patients and families (as defined by the patient) the Clinical Assistant is responsible for the care of the patient. The Clinical Assistant adheres to and is supportive of the hospital and the department of Nursing mission and philosophy.

The CDI Ambassador will develop and maintain physician and medical staff relationships while acting as a liaison between the CDI Specialists, HIM, and the hospital’s medical staff to facilitate accurate and complete documentation for coding and abstracting of clinical data, capture of severity of illness, acuity and risk of mortality and appropriate DRG assignment for optimal reimbursement. The Ambassador will provide education and assistance to physicians and medical staff regarding documentation compliance questions, CDI physician queries, and clinical preciseness that truly reflects the patient’s care and treatment course. Responsible for reviewing patient medical records to facilitate modifications to clinical documentation through concurrent (pre-bill) interaction with providers and other members of the healthcare team to promote accurate capture of clinical treatment (later translated into coded data) and to support the level of service rendered to relevant patient populations. Exhibits expert knowledge of clinical documentation requirements, MS-DRG Assignment, case mix index (CMI) analysis, clinical disease classifications, major and non-major complications and comorbidities (MCCs or CCs), and quality-driven patient outcome indicators. Interacts as needed with internal customers to include but not limited to hospital staff, physicians, residents, and other revenue cycle team members. Actively participates in department and hospital performance initiatives when needed to ensure ULH success.
