Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) are instrumental in establishing an efficient work flow and promoting an environment in which our patients are cared for in a professional, timely and courteous manner. LPN’s provide clinical support to providers in order to ‘deliver patient-centered care with compassion and excellence’. The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering nursing care to the Patient in the C.V. Laboratory. The R.N. administers medications, observes for complication and intervenes when emergencies occur. The R.N. will scrub to assist the Physician during all procedures (except PTCA) and will run the Code 300. This document defines major job responsibilities and performance expectations and serves as a tool for evaluation performance. However, it is not intended to be all inclusive as other duties may be assigned as necessary
